Almo’s continuing desire to improve has allowed it to create an outstanding round rice variety for sushi called Castore.

Castore immediately proved to be a variety with exceptional characteristics:

• excellent resistance to bending;

• good production;

• high yield after industrial processing;

• high resistance to pecky rice;

• good adaptability to underground sowing.

Fungicide treatments are recommended to protect the crop, especially if grown in very fertile soil.
