almo has succeeded in conquering the group of
domestic LA with Proteo, a new variety for risotto
belonging to the Baldo class.
Proteo has immediately demonstrated to be
a high quality variety.
Its short stem makes it resistant to bending. Its good
productivity, high yield after industrial processing
and high resistance to pecky rice have made Proteo
very popular among many rice growers and rice mills,
meeting all their expectations.
This early-maturing variety adapts well to any type of
growing environment and to underground sowing,it is
very resistant against all major rice-seedling diseases.
To obtain an excellent yield, do not allow plants to over
mature before harvesting (humidity not less than 24%).
